KEELEY, LAWRENCE H. 1980. Experimental Determination of Stone Tool Uses. Chicago: University of Chicago Press. An especially valuable monograph on use wear and stone tools.

MUHLY, JAMES D., and THEODORE A. WERTIME, eds. 1980. The Coming of the Age of Iron. New Haven, CT: Yale University Press. Essays on early metallurgy, covering much more than just iron-working. Although somewhat outdated, a good starting point.
